Regulation, designed in
EU textile regulation is decided at product level: in the fibre, the supplier, the data behind a label. I work where design and compliance meet, so requirements are met in the product calendar rather than bolted on at the end.
Compliance in the product
Tatuum · since 2024- Designed and implemented the Textile Exchange Chain of Custody system single-handedly across more than 150 suppliers, covering process mapping, documentation, governance and training.
- Secured the company’s Leather Working Group membership, FSC licence and UN Global Compact participation, and wrote the internal compliance and communication requirements behind each.
- Work across Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), Digital Product Passport (DPP) and ESPR: assessing what each requires at product level and preparing the data, traceability and supplier documentation needed to meet them.
- Review sustainability claims for substantiation, so what appears on a label or in marketing holds up against the evidence behind it.
- Partner with sourcing, quality and legal to keep compliance inside the product calendar.
Shaping regulation
Textile Voice Poland · Board Member · since 2026Board Member of the employers’ association for the Polish textile industry, which brings together manufacturers, brands and distributors to shape regulation on circular economy, extended producer responsibility and ecodesign.
I sit in working groups on EU Extended Producer Responsibility as it is shaped for textiles, bringing the perspective of companies that will have to implement it: what a proposed requirement means at product level, what it costs operationally, and where it breaks against how a brand actually works.
The seat matters mainly for timing: working with regulation while it is still being formed, rather than reading it once it is published and already fixed.
Digital Product Passport
DPP in Fashion Working Group · since 2026A cross-industry working group preparing the Polish textile sector for the EU Digital Product Passport, convened by the Institute for Sustainable Development and Environment at Lazarski University together with GS1 Poland.
I work with organisations across the sector on practical implementation: data requirements, product identification standards and industry readiness.
Teaching
MSKPU, International School of Costume and Fashion Design · since 2023I teach Fashion Design at a school built around sustainable practice, where sustainability is a requirement of the brief rather than an optional theme.
I bring the regulatory picture into the studio: what EPR, DPP and ESPR will mean for students entering the industry now, so they meet these requirements as designers rather than receiving them later as someone else’s compliance problem. I also supervise graduation collections from concept through to presentation.
